First painting of a series of five
This is the first piece of my series Intimidades, a body of work that explores emotion, vulnerability, and those private moments when we meet ourselves without filters. I painted the figure as a simple outline — no face, no identity — because real intimacy has nothing to do with how we look, but with what we feel inside.
The red and blue background is a storm of emotion: desire, fear, calm, anxiety, truth. It’s the inner landscape we all carry. The gesture of the figure touching their chest is small but powerful — a moment of recognising oneself, holding oneself, returning to the centre.
Intimidades I is about that delicate instant when you look inward and allow yourself to be honest, even for a second. A fragile, necessary moment of truth — and the beginning of a journey through five paintings that dive deeper into the inner world.
