Fourth painting of the series “Intimidades”
Intimidades IV is a piece where I wanted to explore a more expressive and open form of intimacy. The figure’s stretching gesture came from a very personal place — that mix of release and surrender you feel when you finally let your emotions rise to the surface. It’s a moment where the body speaks honestly, without pretending.
The background is filled with intense reds and cooler blues, colours that for me represent the highs and lows we carry inside. The splashes and strokes are the emotional noise we try to hide, but that always finds a way out.
The simple outline of the figure cuts through all of that, showing a body that accepts itself — vulnerable, imperfect, human. In this pose there’s a small awakening, a sense of returning to yourself, of recognising what you feel and allowing it to exist.
For me, Intimidades IV is a quiet act of reclaiming space inside my own skin — a reminder that intimacy begins within.
